1. Phenomenon: the hose looks like a knife cut. It's a sharp cut.
Cause: This is usually cut by the runner and flange edge of the peristaltic pump head. The reason for this damage is usually because the hose in the pump head is too long. When the peristaltic pump head is running, the hose shakes in the pump head and touches the flange edge of the runner. The flange edge constantly cuts the hose by friction. This kind of damage process will be very fast, usually in about ten minutes will be completely damaged. With the damage of pump pipe, a lot of hose slag will be produced in the pump.
Solution: 1. When installing the pump pipe, make sure that the pump pipe in the pump head is straight, and there will not be too many hoses in the pump head. 2. At the same time, a special plastic clamp is clamped at the position where the inlet and outlet of the hose pump are close to the clamp pipe of the pump head, so as to prevent the peristaltic pump hose from loosening and running during operation.
2. Phenomenon: the hose is completely flattened, losing resilience, thinning the wall thickness and serious surface wear.
Cause: this phenomenon is usually caused by the runner stuck, peristaltic pump pressure block contact with the pump pipe surface and impurities on the runner, too high speed. When the runner of the peristaltic pump head is stuck, the runner of the peristaltic pump will directly scrape the peristaltic pump hose, which will increase the friction of the hose surface, cause the surface temperature of the hose to rise very high and wear the surface of the hose. Too high temperature will also make the hose lose its elasticity. In extreme cases, the temperature will exceed 140 degrees or even cause the hose to melt and deform.
Solution: pay attention to check whether the operation of peristaltic pump head runner is flexible; Pay attention to clean the pressure pipe surface of pump head; Reduce the speed of peristaltic pump properly.
3. Phenomenon: peristaltic pump hose becomes brittle, hard, lose elasticity, discoloration, swelling, damage, etc.
Cause: the hose cannot transport this liquid, which will corrode and dissolve the hose.
Solution: find the hose material that will not be corroded by the liquid transported by yourself, and select the hose accurately according to the chemical compatibility test data. Or take some hose samples to do immersion test, in order to make sure that the hose will not be corroded by liquid.
